PSU+Battery+Amplifier+old stereo

PSU+Battery+Amplifier+old stereo Video Clips. Duration : 2.87 Mins.

This is just a quick video that i made to show my unrefined setup for a home-theater system. I had an old amplifier, my subs/6x9s, and a battery laying around, and decided to connect it to a PSU. It works very well, and if you have some old stuff laying around, i'd suggest making the best of it and turning it into a house-rattling setup. Good luck, youtubers! (edit) I have another video up where i've refined my set up slightly. All the grounds and 12v supplies from the PSU have been bundled, so as to allow more current to pass through (theoretically from what i've read so far). Plus, i've noticed from trial and error that the system would rather have the PSU turned ON before attaching the ground terminal on the battery. Everything else is wired and ready to go so that as soon as the ground is connected, the amplifier is on, and starts boosting the signal to the woofers. I'm not 100% sure why, but when i connect my terminal, then turn the PSU on, my amp will draw too much power from the battery and click over into auto-protect. But when i turn the PSU on first, then connect the terminal, everything plays fine. My multimeter reflected the theory that i had on this that with the PSU powered up after connection was made, the current flow was back to the wall socket, and basically both the PSU and the amp were being run off the battery. With the PSU turned on first, that reversed this effect, putting current through the PSU, into the battery, into the amp. Please let me know ...
